& Nathan, Vanderbilt Freshman
Experience: 4 seasons at Pine Tree

Head coach André Lo continues Pine Tree’s winning tradition by capturing
his second consecutive District Title in three years. With 11-0-1 in the
district, 16-7-2 last year, he was named Coach of the Year for District
17-4A.
There is much anticipation for the 2008 season as Coach Lo enters his
fourth season with Pine Tree. He graduated 14 seniors from the 2007
squad that went deep into the play-offs. The 2007 season, which ended in
a dramatic double-overtime shootout loss against Brenham in the Quarter
Regional Final, marked the team's strongest performance since the trip
to state in 2004.
“Last season was a great experience for our junior & sophomore players
as they received assistance from many seasoned senior players,” said
coach Lo. “It served to whet their appetite towards continuing Pine Tree
soccer traditions deep into post-season play.”
Coach Lo has made great forward strides over the past three seasons.
Since his start with the Muddogs in 2004-05, he has brought the team
steadily closer to becoming an elite high school team that has already
risen from competing in the District Final of 2006 to competing at the
Quarter Regional Final in 2007. He also takes great pride in developing
the all-round student athlete; many graduates are currently continuing
their soccer careers with various universities in Texas.
Prior to arriving at Pine Tree in 2004, Coach Lo, a national “A”
licensed coach, held head coaching positions at Hallsville High School &
Trinity School of Texas. He has been actively involved as a coach in the
Olympic Development Program, a national identification and development
program for the country's top players. In 2007 he brought the’89 girls
North Texas State Soccer team to the ODP National Championship; he has
coached the Region III team for the past five years. Coach Lo has also
spent time working with local youth through the Elite Soccer Club as a
Director of Coaching and mentoring many of today's up-and-coming soccer
coaches as a District coach for the North Texas State Soccer
Association.
